Briery Kindergarten is regulated and inspected under the Children Act by Ofsted and our practises, policies and procedures are in accordance with current standards.
Our Kindergarten helps develop every individual child's social interaction skills and will help your child to share, have good communication skills and develop self confidence. Your child will be cared for by an experienced team that understands the needs of children.
We aim to provide a 'Home from Home' environment specifically designed for enjoyment and development of children. Every day the Kindergarten is organised and planned to give each child the best learning opportunities possible starting at their own level. Children enter the Kindergarten, and progress to our early year's room, where we use the Baseline Assessment Programme. We assess children's progress during the Foundation Stage before entering compulsory education. Each room has various resources to choose from and has areas of continuous provision.
We have free childcare places for families who have a child aged 2 years old. If eligible, families can receive 15 hours a week term time only or 12 hours, 48 weeks of the year. Children can take up their place the term after their 2nd birthday. The funding will continue using the Free Education Grant for 3 and 4 year olds until your child starts school.
